Camping, Caravanning and Campervanning

The South of France, and in specific the coastal areas of the Languedoc Roussillon region, are ideal for camping. With lots of sunshine and little rain the region boasts a large number of campsites of good quality. Whether you bring your tent or caravan, there are plenty of sites that offer an excellent base for a lovely stay in the sun. Sudwindsports has selected a number of sites in the surrounding area of Saint Pierre-la-Mer.

Camping at Soleil d'OcCamping Soleil d'Oc*** in Narbonne-Plage
Although at a short distance (a 15 minute drive) camping Soleil d'Oc is the closest 3-star campsite to Saint Pierre-la-Mer. Situated in a natural setting close to the beach of Narbonne Plage, this site is perfect for people who want to make the most of their time in the sunny south. Camping at La NautiqueCamping La Nautique**** in Narbonne
One of the better campsites in the region, with private sanitary facilities on each plot! This Dutch owned site offers a full range of facilities including a swimming pool and kids club. The following sites are situated in close proximity to the Sudwindsports centre, but cannot be booked in advance:

Camping Municipal Pissevaches in Saint Pierre-la-Mer
Situated next door to the Sudwindsports watersports centre, this basic community run campsite is ideally situated between the beach and the Pissevaches lake, and at 800 meters from the Saint Pierre town centre. The site has 400 half-shady and sunny pitches with or without electrics, several (slightly dated) sanitary blocks and a shop. Please note: It is not possible to reserve pitches in advance. In July and August obtaining a pitch is a matter of luck, as the site is often fully booked.

For campervans and motorhomes only: Saint Pierre Campervan Zone
Park up at the camper van zone
At 100 meters from the Sudwindsports watersports centre you can park up your campervan and stay overnight on a specially designated area for approx. 6 euros per night. There is a charge for the use of electrics and water (limited facilities available) and waste water disposal. No reservation possible. No tents or caravans. Please note: the site is often full during all school holidays.

Naturist campsite with mobile home rental: Camping La Grande Cosse in Saint Pierre-la-Mer

There are of course a lot more campsites in the area. The neighboring villages of Narbonne-Plage, Gruissan, Cabanes de Fleury, Valras, Vias and Narbonne also offer a host of good campsites for you to stay at. Use your camping guide to find out more details.
