European Junior Kitesurf Cup 2007
St. Pierre-la-Mer 17th, 18th, 19th May
Thursday 17 May
The first day of the competition and a very very windy day. With gust close to 50 knots, average 35 knots pushed our choice to run a hang time with the two top categories 17/21 years old and the 14/16.

The winner in the first one was Thomas Banks from England in the final versus Jordan Petrement, and the best jump was made by Olivier Dansin with 6.50 seconds.
In the 14/16 category the Portuguese Gonçalo Gomes won against Thomas Paris.
With a wind backing down at the end of the day we were able to run the first heats of the freestyle the youngest division 10/13, the girls and the 14/16 year old category.
Friday 18 May
What an epic day!!!
After a roaring Thursday up to 50 knots, we were all down at the beach hoping for better conditions according to the weather forecast.
The forecast was correct; all day long we were served by a wind averaging the 20 knots, off shore, therefore offering perfect flat waters.

First we started with the girls, followed by the 14/16 and the 10/13. A little over an hour later, we were down with the 3 winner brackets.

A little lunch break for the security boat team, the jury and the riders and we were ready for the double elimination.

In the yougest division, Maxime Nochet was always at the forefront, always asking to the organisers, even on the very very windy day "In how much time are we going in the water?" He clinched the victory after 3 heats ahead of Jaka Komocar from Slovenia, 11 years old, who was also very happy to have his dad driving him all the way from Slovenia to Saint Pierre la Mer, France. In third place Quentin Valesa, showing big potential for future contests. Double elimination results:
10/13: 1st: Maxime Nocher Fra
2nd: Jaka Komocar Slo

Let's talk to wrap it up about the -Saint Requier case- Mister Marvin for his friends, a very nice guy, a tiny bit shy had a slow start in the first ladder of the 17/21. He lost in the second round of the toughest division, then disappeared, probably away with some friends or sleeping behind a rigged kite on the beach.
And then came the double elimination time. Mister Marvin won 5 straight heats but apart from these epic victories he was defeated by Adrien Jaujou in his 6th heat .
The wind was weakening a bit, Adrien was worried, using a 13M2 and being heavier than his opponent, he was going for a losing heat. Marvin stoned by the huge amount of effort and was believing in his winning faith of the day.
After a tight heat Adrien with some nice handle passes barely made it to face again Florian Daubos in the final.
It was almost 7pm, start of the heat, 3 minutes later, 3 horn strokes, cancellation due to lack of wind.
A 15 minute waiting period was set. 8 minutes later the wind teased the Jury, and a second shot to run the final was set, but it was just not enough to run the final:
Double elimination results:
17/21: 1st: Florian Daubos Fra
2nd Adrien Jaujou Fra
3rd: Marvin Saint Requier Fra
Saturday the 19th of may :
