Remi and the rules of the Kitezone

    On the beach :

  • Set up on the right hand side of the kitezone and leave all spare kites / bags / pumps on the extremities of the zone
  • Always put sand on your kite to weigh it down
  • Never launch or land a kite over anybody or anything
  • Please leave the beach how you found it
  • On the water :

  • Stay in-between yellow marker buoys until out past 300m (the last bouy) then stay in easy vision of rescue boat and kitezone
  • Do not use the two lanes either side of the kitezone, these are security areas where we cannot kitesurf and swimmers cannot swim
  • Give the right of way to beginners
  • Follow the international rules of the road when on the water and at all costs avoid collision
  • If you are in trouble and need assistance – put kite at the zenith (12 O’clock) and keep still - if the kite is in the water signal with one arm
  • If you hear THREE loud blasts from an air horn please come off the water and do not go back on until otherwise informed
  • The Kitezone rescue boat is in operation from 10:00 - 12:30 & 14:00 - 18:00 in off-shore winds
