The presence of big shallow lakes and wide sandy beaches in the area of St.Pierre-la-Mer create an ideal playground for kitesurfers, windsurfers and sailors of all levels.

The Mediterranean Sea can be used for sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. With no noticeable tide and very few waves the "Grand Bleu" has lots to offer.

The beaches of the Languedoc Roussillon are wide, sandy and clean. Unique to St.Pierre is the Kite Zone, a 300m section of kite-only beach which makes an essential and safe area for learning and practising the sport of kitesurfing.

The Pissevaches Lake in front of the centre is a perfect safe venue for children and beginners to learn to windsurf or sail.

The La Clape mountain range, the backdrop of St.Pierre-la-Mer offers an interesting site for hill walking, mountain biking, horse riding and even rock climbing.

The river Aude just north of the centre and the region’s many canals create a great opportunity for all to explore by boat or bicycle.
